Psalm 116 | Return to Rest
HAMMOCK
Strung swaying tethered
Threads of lines braided black rough
Held taut enough, safe
Arrested by sun
Striking whistling through the trees
Light resting on me
Take a breath and don't
Give it back to where you left
Worries past now rest
“Stand by the roads
And look
And ask
For the ancient paths,
Where the good way is
And walk in it,
And find rest
For your souls."
(Jeremiah 6:16)
